Halo's H1T housing is an economical option for lighting a small- to medium-sized area such as a bathroom. The unit's 5-1/2-inch height makes it especially appropriate in situations where you're dealing with a shallow ceiling, as is the case with two-by-six-inch joist construction. The H1T is designed for use with incandescent lamps, and the housing is thermally protected for lamps of up to 100 watts.

Halo products have a reputation for easy installation, and this one is no exception. It includes pre-installed bar hangers that allow the housing to be positioned at any point within a 24-inch joist span, and its unique "arrowhead" design provides rapid installation. Bar hangers can be repositioned 90 degrees without tools in order to fit into tight spots.

Note that this housing is not rated for direct contact with insulation. Available with a variety of trim options (sold separately). UL listed for damp location and feed through. CSA certified.--Josh Dettweiler
